UDEGE MBEKI IN A DILEMMA
The people of Udege Mbeki and Odu Communities of Nasarawa LG, Nasarawa State are in a great confusion than ever. It is no longer new that bandits have circumscribed the area with their dastardly acts very uninterruptedly. This occurs day and night, on our roads, at home, in the farms, in fact, we are not safe everywhere we find .
The situation moves from bad to worst, it increases instead of decreasing.
It was firstly rubbery, it turned to kidnapping and now murder with kidnapping.
It is highly confusing as things are now unimaginable despite the advent of armed security personnel moving nooks and crannies of the affected areas.
We, the inhabitants of these places are totally in a a state of dilemma, those we fear are also afraid.
These days, the born and brought up Fulanis are the most targeted people. Now, most of them have vacated their Ruga (settlement) to villages of nearness with every preparation to totally leave the axis as their lives (they said) are no longer safe, as I make this post, others have already left. Who now will be their next target.
I feel using this auspicious time and medium to call on the government at all levels to as a matter of urgency swiftly strengthen her efforts in ensuring that this act comes to an end.
Notwithstanding,
PRAYERS! PRAYERS!! PRAYERS!!! are now what we are into. Again we solicit for more from friends and well wishers to sooner the end of this ugly act.
